You’re a modern kinda author. You’re hip to the latest this and that. You know social media can be one of the most effective free methods of building a readership. You know Facebook is the giant of social media. You even know that you should be promoting your writing career by using a Facebook PAGE, and NOT your personal Facebook profile.
But one question you keep asking yourself, with much frustration, is “how the hell do I ‘like’ another author’s Facebook page FROM my author page on Facebook?”
It’s quite simple, actually — though Facebook hasn’t made it an intuitive process at all. I’ll show you below, and for this example, we’ll say that I want to “like” The Poetry Foundation’s page from my own Facebook Page (you can see from the screenshot that I’ve already liked them from my personal profile).
Step #1: go to the page which you would like to “like”
Step #2: Click the wheel icon to the right of “message” and scroll down to “Like As Your Page…”
Step #3: If you’re the administrator of several different Facebook pages, you can then select from the “Select a Page” dropdown menu which page you’d like to “like” this Facebook page from… (wow, that’s an awkward sentence — but you get the point).
Bam! Now you can, like, totally start “liking” all the authors that you like, from the Facebook page that you like.
Got any other Facebook questions? I don’t promise to have all the answers, but feel free to ask in the comments section below, and I’ll do my best.
