Enlisting a book discovery service promoting cheap or free eBooks to a subscriber list – or helping you to boost your own social media efforts – is one way to promote your eBook and get readers, reviews, more social networking, and a kick-start to your book sales. We posted a list on the BookBaby Blog titled “Book Discovery Sites Can Help You Find More Readers.”
The fine folks at GalleyCat have also compiled a list of websites where you can promote your eBook for free, engage with an active online community of readers, and hopefully win yourself a few new fans.
The list includes Addicted to eBooks, Author Marketing Club, Free eBooks Daily, and more.

One place they didn’t mention, but where you’re always welcome to promote your work– BookBaby’s Facebook Page! Feel free to leave a link and brief description there, and tell us a little bit about the writing process.

Hi, Thank you for this amazing list. I just wanted to add one more ebook promotion website which I think is very helpful: http://www.ebookhamster.com. It currently offers free promotions for self-publishing writers. You can use it not only for free, but also for your discounted ebooks.
Hello my name is Jasmine Bogan and I am a self publishing author. My ebook is online at kobo playster, tolino, and barnes and nobles. It is a book full of short stories with terrifying and gruesome tales that is not fit for children.
Thanks for the very useful article. I am an Indie author too and during my author journey have compiled a list of websites and social media links where self published authors can post their ebooks. You may check this list as well :

To really understand how to market your ebook you must understand business and marketing. I recommend people take a free online course in online marketing and read at least a hour a day in marketing and this alone will have you seeing results sooner then later. Another powerful tip is to brand yourself and build a audience. You can do this through facebook groups, pinterest, youtube, etc.
