Beside its being the birthplace of democracy, there’s lots to know about Philadelphia: the country’s first daily newspaper, The Philadelphia Packet and Daily Advertiser, started here in 1784; it’s home to America’s first zoo; and Philadelphia is also home to the first hospital and medical school in the US. And there’s a whole lot more: a thriving cultural scene, incredible restaurants, dozens of historic landmarks, and countless ways to enjoy yourself.

  1. Hello Bookbaby: I would love to be there and meet everyone – But? I have postponed a much needed operation for the past 3 years. The doctors have scheduled this operation for Aug 23, 2017 followed by 3 to 4 weeks rest. I’m franticly trying to finish my second book in time for the fall. I have 50 pages to go. I also want to revise my first book from 400 pages to 200 pages to co-inside with book two that will only be 200 pages. In the meantime – I’ll be in touch when I’m done. Cheers Ivan P. Kovak

  2. Dear BabyBooks,
My problem is that I have already published three books. Publishing is not the problem. How to build a platform, a brand, or whatever you call it to sell the books is where I’m stuck. I did what the experts said: Yes, I have a presence on the social media, a website, FB sites, a Twitter account, LinkedIN, Pinterest, and others I’ve forgotten about. I don’t know how to draw people to my books without saying, “Hey, read ’em, you’ll learn something, I promise!”
Also, I don’t have the time or know-how to spend at the computer.

    What can you tell me?
    Bob Mitchell

  3. Kimberly says:

Is there any chance they could stream the speakers? Do they sell transcipts or audio after?
