Why Facebook is Still an Essential Tool for Book Promotion

With all the recent grumblings about Facebook Timeline, it might be easy to assume that the social media giant’s usefulness as a book sales-driver is waning.  But the opposite is true, according to Ronny Golan of BookPulse, who says “The rumors of the death of Facebook E-commerce have been greatly exaggerated.”

In his article The Potential of Social Media in Driving Book Sales for DigitalBookWorld.com, Ronny gives concrete stats that prove Facebook is more important than ever for book promotion.

Given that word-of-mouth recommendations have always been a strong factor in a book’s success, it makes sense that Facebook (a place for like-minded folks to form online communities) is still one of the best social spaces in which you can expose readers to new books.
