Many writers have their books saved as PDFs. But converting your PDF to ePub can be a pain! No one wants to spend their time removing header and footer options, adjusting the unwrap factor, or correcting page breaks. Writing itself is enough of a challenge, so why not make it easier on yourself and let BookBaby take care of the hard stuff. With BookBaby, conversion is easy. Basic conversion is free (from word, html, or text file format to ePub) and we’ll convert from PDF to ePub for only $59!
If your book is saved in PDF format, leave the conversion work to us!
If you have your book saved in the original Word doc, follow these 4 simple tips for properly preparing your future bestseller for the conversion process:
1. Don’t use the tab key or the space bar to format paragraphs or individual lines. Please use the format paragraph menu or the alignment buttons in the toolbar of your text-editing program.
2. Don’t hit the tab key at the end of a paragraph to start a new paragraph. Instead, hit the Enter key once to start a new paragraph.
3. Don’t hit the enter key at the end of a paragraph to force a page break. Instead, insert a hard page break (Insert > Page break) to start a new page.
4. Don’t use very large or very small font sizes. We recommend 12pt font size for body text and 14-18pt for chapter titles.
