Use eBook Retailers’ Affiliate Programs: Get Money Back When You Sell a Book

Affiliate programs incentivize customers of a particular company to spread the word about that company. If you’re an affiliate partner of ACME Books, you place links from your own website TO Acme Books’ site. When an ACME customer is referred FROM your site, the web traffic is tracked and ACME awards you some kind of credit for that sale. In many cases, you earn a percentage of the total sale amount.

Now Amazon, Apple’s iBookstore, and Barnes & Noble all have affiliate programs. If you’re an author, and especially if you’re  a BookBaby client, chances are good that your eBooks are available in all three of those stores. So why not partner with them as affiliates also? That way, whenever you send readers to one of those retail sites to purchase your eBook, you’ll get paid a little extra!
